Kitten's ear smells awful and is draining. What can I do at home?

I found a kitten inside a car engine a few nights ago and he seems to be doing well but his ear smells AWFUL. He seems to he a bit wobbly and its draining quite a bit. I've cleaned it a few times now with water and coconut oil to get all the gunk out of his outer ear. Maybe an infection? I do not have the money to take him to the vet. Is there anything I can do for him? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 lbs

I would purchase a pet ear cleaner and perhaps some ear medication from PetCo. Once you get all of the discharge out of the ear it should improve.
