My cat has fleas, an open wound, and hair loss. Is it infected?

I’m worried about my cat and I don’t know if I should be more concerned as she has many fleas and I’m studuggling to get rid of them however the main issue is she has quite a large open wound and patch of hair missing from there, it’s been there about a week and I’m scared it will get infected and she will suffer.

I would recommend a vet check to thoroughly examine the area and determine if any infection is present or if it is an inflammatory / allergic response to the fleas which would be expected to respond quickly to prescription antiinflammatory medications. Your vet can also review your current flea prevention programs and advise on additional steps which may help
