Is my 6-month-old female beagle's 7.5kg weight healthy or too low?

Weight of my female beagle at 6 month is 7.5 kg ....is she on right track or its way lower than average. Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | 6 months and 12 days old | 17 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This sounds exactly right to me. I’m not sure about the UK but breeders associations like American Kennel Club want the ideal female beagle to be about 9-10kg. A 6 month old who is currently 7.5 kgs should achieve that by a year or so of age. That being said, I do see a huge number of beagles who are more like 15-17kgs which may make your Ziva girl look petite. But not to worry, if the vet says she checks out ok, her weight seems perfectly fine to me. Best wishes to you and Ziva!
