My dog has pancreatitis. Is krill omega-3 safe in multivitamins?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Italian Greyhound | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old | 12 lbs

My dog has a history of chronic pancreatitis, I was considering giving him a multivitamin supplement but it contains Omega 3 fatty acids from krill. Will this negatively effect him at all?

No , Omega 3 fatty acids in the amount present in vitamin supplements should not adversely affect your dog. However I strongly advise that you consult with your veterinarian about giving him this supplement as your vet knows your dog and his medical history and would be more qualified that us to decide whether a multivitamin supplement is detrimental to your dog or even necessary.
