My dog has bumps on his back. Could it be a reaction to his new coat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bully | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 19 days old | 30 lbs

This morning I noticed kilo had A few bumps in his back, it look like allergies to me, I gave him milk on a empty stomach, and liquid Benadryl for kids (1tbsp) an hour after, it doesn’t seem to help, the bumps are still there, I also showered him as soon as I noticed them, I’d like to note he got a new coat yesterday, which I didn’t clean first, I just removed the tags and put it on him twice, less than 20 minutes each time, not sure if that has anything to Do with the bumps ?

It could be Kilo has suffered a reaction to the coat, and if the Benadryl isn't working, he will need to see a vet now. Allergic reactions typically need stronger drugs to treat such as steroids, which can only be gotten from a vet. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
