Hi, my lab was swimming in cold water today and I was worried about hypothermia. She was shivering really bad. I got her warm by the fire but she kinda stumbling. I took her temp it was 100.3 I stupidly didn't think to lube it first. Is that ok also? I was panicking then worried I hurt her doing that

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If you did not lube it but it went in ok then that is fine. Make sure to lube it next time. However, the stumbling could be concerning if it continues though keep in mind that that it could be transient and not occur again. Hopefully Chevy is just fine. However, if she continues to stumble, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment. Good luck and have a good night!
