My dog's eye is swollen and red after grooming. What should I do?

I had my Cavalier king Charles spaniel groomed today and When I got home his right eye was swollen Shut and I try to look inside and it was very red and There was swollen tissue around the eyeball... I took pictures and sent them to the groomer and she said that it could be a hair that is an eyeball in was irritating and/or it could be the hypo allergenic shampoo she used around his face. Hes never had a reaction like this and his other eye is starting to droop. What do I do? Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | neutered | 3 years and 3 months old | 16 lbs

Poor Charlie! You need to get him into a vet right away if his eye is swollen shut and very red. Any eye problem is considered an emergency because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies.
