Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed
I have a 11 year old cat who has the cat flu. The flu symptoms are fine right now, but she is getting a lump at the bottom of her mouth. Also she has bumps in her ears that sort of look the same, you can slightly see it in one of the photos. The photos have been enhanced to better see the lump.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! These could be benign or malignant growths. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Moo evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

This lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Moch moch to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.

I am afraid this looks like a tumor or a big abscess. You will need to take Lola to your vet for an exam. Your vet will want to take a fine needle aspirate ( take some tissue to determine the nature of the mass) and possibly also want to send it in to a pathology lab to determine whether this is a benign or malignant mass which will need to be removed. Please schedule an appointment with your veterinarian soon.
