My dog's leg is burned by hot water. What's the emergency vet cost?

I would take him into a vet right away. It's concerning that his leg is now swollen, and the skin from his paws came off. If his leg looks white, I'm concerned about blood supply getting to that leg. Otherwise, the best thing to do is flush the burn with cool water once a day for five minutes. This will give some relief and help prevent infection. After flushing it's best to put silver sulfadiazine cream (can get from the pharmacy) on the burn and cover it with a bandage. Ouch! That looks painful and unfortunately, I think he needs to see a vet. Your vet will be able to do some x-rays to ensure he didn't break any bones which can commonly happen when they get caught up like this. Your vet will also be able to get him on some anti-inflammatories to help with the swelling and antibiotics to help with infection.
