My lost cat is malnourished. How can I help her gain weight safely?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | unspayed | 3 lbs

My cat is about a year old and she is an inside cat but about 3 weeks ago she got out and we just now found her. But she is very malnourished. She's been eating regular food. Is there any supplements that could help her get some weight back. And is there anything i should be worried about since she didn't eat in so long.

Since she was missing for so long, an exam with your veterinarian would be recommended. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites. If she gets a clean bill of health, continue feeding a high quality canned diet until she is back to her normal weight.
