Hypothetically if my dog has heart worms I know there’s the pill treatment and the injection treatment. Scooby is a very hyper/active puppy and it’s very difficult to get him to calm down if he had worms what’s the best treatment since he’s so active and I can’t really keep him calm throughout the treatment? I can’t have him inside the house and I do not have a kennel for him either, he is an outside dog

There is really only one treatment for adult heartworm disease which is given by injection. The other method is just continuing to use preventative medications so they don’t continue to be bitten and infected with more heartworms. The hope is over time the worms will die. This may take years and the worms will continue to do damage to the body while they exist. Heartworm disease is complicated and devastating and the treatment does have the potential for side effects. If Scooby does have heartworm disease then a long conversation with your veterinarian about treatment plans would be advised. American heartworm society https://www.heartwormsociety.org. Has some great information and resources as well. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
