My puppy has closed ears and no teeth. How old is he and what to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1lb

So I traded a guy a cell phone for one of his pups. He said they were shitzu mixes. He also said he had already rehomed 3 other ones and they were 5 weeks old. After I got home and wanted to feed pinto I noticed no teeth or gum bumps and his ears r still closed. There is no way he is 5 weeks old right? He is super adorable active. Hasn't pooped yet and I started bottle feeding today...am I on the right track?

You are correct. The ears open by about 2 weeks of age, so you have quite a young puppy. Continue bottle feeding with an appropriate puppy milk replacer, such as Esbilac, for the next 2 weeks, then introduce solids. You can mix a dry puppy food with the milk replacer to make a slurry or gruel. To get hom to defecate, use a warm, moist washcloth and gently circle his rectum to get him to poop. He will probably urinate as well. Clean him up and repeat at the next feeding. Consider having him examined by a veterinarian to confirm good health or to diagnose and treat any pre-existing conditions.
