My recently adopted dog is throwing up. Is it stress or heat cycle?

Hope you all are doing great! So, I woke up today to find this next to her (pictures attached) , not sure what it is but I found something similliar or the same thing next to her a couple of days back in lesser amount, that then was white. We've adopted her a week back. We don't know what it is , and I was wondering if it was a sign of her being in the later stage of her heat cycle. But we don't even know if she is in heat. Would really appreciate your input! Thanks! Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | 2 years and 7 months old | 66 lbs
