Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | neutered | 9.2 lbs
My cat has always had a bit of a croaky meow but now he has no meow at all. He also does not seem to want to be touched on his head and is flicking his ears. If I try to stroke him he is cowering away and his ears go flat down. Something is obviously bothering him. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! These are possible signs of pain and/or discomfort. I am concerned that Tommy may have some discomfort and that something could be bothering him perhaps in his head or neck area. I would recommend that you consider having him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. An examination would help determine if that is what is going on so that therapy if needed can be started. Good luck and have a great day!
