Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | neutered | 2 years and 10 months old | 10 lbs

I’m traveling so I kept my cat in my friend’s house she has already 2 cats so since last night my cat is hiding u from my friend b her cats and they didn’t eat anything and not used litter even... So is it ok or that’s not normal?? For the first time he’s seeing other cats and he’s an indoor cat.

That is perfectly normal. Your cat is likely afraid of the other cats in the household and the smell he is not used to and the new place. It would be best if your friend could keep your cat in a room separate from the other cats, so that he will feel safe to come out to eat and use the litter box.
