Why is my dog's skin inflamed and red? Is it an allergy?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Baby. Her skin appears severely inflamed, if not infected. She will need to see her veterinarian as she will need anti-inflammatory medication and likely antibiotics. Allergies to her environment or diet could cause these signs or even a drug reaction could cause this appearance. In the meantime, you can bathe her with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner such as an oatmeal or fatty acid based formula to soothe the skin. I hope this information helps!

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding Buddi. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian. His skin appears very inflamed, if not infected. Thus can be due to irritation from insect bites, an allergy or another type of infection. The veterinarian will examine him and make treatment recommendations based on these results. In the meantime, place an E-collar on him if he is trying to lick or bite the affected areas. I hope this information helps!
