No, I do not recommend giving your kitten human amoxicillin. The reason for this is two-fold. If you have liquid amoxicillin, it needs to be used within 10 days of being opened. Any leftover should be discarded or returned to your pharmacy for disposal. The second reason is a 3 lb kitten would use an extremely small dose compared to a human.     Without examining your cat we cannot legally advise you give her prescription antibiotics. Also unless the antibiotic is liquid it would be impossible to dose a tiny kitten safely, and if it is an old liquid it is likely expired as it only lasts for 10 days. Not all respiratory infections require antibiotics as some are viral. I would make an appointment for your kitty for a veterinary exam.
