How big will my Maine Coon mix get and when will he stop growing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 7 months and 18 days old | 11.2 lbs

How big do mainecoon mixes get? Rousseau is 7 months now, and already nearly eleven pounds. He's been growing so fast, he's longer than our adult cats! And he doesn't even seem to be done growing! When can we expect the growing to stop? How big will he get?

What a handsome cat! Most Maine Coon cats are 16-20 lbs without being overweight. I’ve seen a few larger but they are not as common. Usually they will be full grown around a year old but may mature and fill out until they are two years old. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Rousseau.
