My 2-year-old German Shepherd's liver meds aren't working. What now?

My dog is suffering from liver disease...medications prescribed by the vet are not working for him...he is a two year old german shepherd. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male

What needs to be done really depends on which specific type of liver disease Scoobie has as there are many and most are treated differently. Further diagnostics that should be considered if have not been performed yet include an abdominal ultrasound and possibly liver biopsies or at least fine needle aspiration.
