Why are my horses fighting over treats? How can I stop it safely?

Stallion and mare fighting over treats? I whenever I come to give treats they fight and now I can’t even enter the feild in case I’m caught up in it instead I have to feed from the fence it isn’t proper full on fighting it’s biting, lunging , kicking each other but like 1 kick or 1 bite I think they just warn each other but how can I stop it

Basic safety rules: Never feed treats out of your hand. Feed treats only in a bucket or bowl. Never enter a stallion pasture without a helmet. Best: Never enter any horse pasture without a helmet. The only way to stop this is by not giving them treats. Horses do not need treats.
