My dog's scab is getting smaller. Does that always mean it's healing?

Good morning the scab that my dog have is getting smaller, that means it’s healing.

For the most part it’s true that a scab that is getting smaller means that a skin lesion or wound is healing. If there is an increase in red skin or discharge underneath or around the scab this may not be the case. Posting a picture might help us tell if the skin seems to be healing.
