My canary won't sing after molting and poor diet. When will he sing?

Further to my questions about Ringo, Canary, 2 yrs. old. I fed him improperly for about two months, and he got skinny. I am now feeding him properly, the past 4 days, He is finished or finishing his Molt, yet won't even attempt singing. Before the Molt, he was a great, loud Singer. Is he not singing because of the improper feeding during his molt? How long before singing, after Molting? Approximately? Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

How much a bird sings varies greatly on the individual bird so it would be impossible to tell you when he will sing again or not. Making sure he is on a balanced diet, and having your vet take a look to make sure there aren't any lasting health issues caused by the malnutrition earlier is best to make sure Ringo is still healthy and happy.
