My cat has a red cut on her neck. Will it heal or need a vet?

Hello While i was cutting a knot from my cats neck i cut her skin by accident,, and i didn’t notice at that moment I just realized after 2 days And the cut is not that deep and it didn’t bleed but its like really red,,, so what do i have to do? Will it heal by itself or I should do something?? I’ll give u a pic of it Thankyou. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is superficial enough that I think it is possibly going to heal on its own with more time. My concern is that it could also get infected. Try to keep the area as clean as possible and try to prevent her from scratching at it. If no improvement is noted in the next few days or it is worsening, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!
