Why does my senior dog have worsening bad breath with healthy teeth?

My black lab is 12 years old and has extremely bad breath. It seems to be getting worse also. Her teeth are fine and when I mentioned it to a vet 2 months ago they didn't seem concerned. Should I be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed

If Tehya's teeth are fine, I would recommend getting blood work on her to make sure her kidneys are ok. Sometimes with kidney disease they can have a bad smell from their mouth. I would also discuss with your vet about potentially performing a dental procedure with x-rays to confirm there is no abscess we can see.
