My dog has a pink fatty lump on his belly near his nipple. What is it?

Dog is 2 year old Jack Russell. On his nelly next to one of his nipples is a pink fatty tissue slowly getting bigger.. what is this fatty pink bump ..seems like it can bust or just shrink hopefully. Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 21 lbs

Hi. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell without an examination and testing of the lump. But, it appears to me to be what's called a histiocytoma. These are benign growths that appear in young pets usually under the age of 4 and usually around the age of 2. They are red, raised, sometimes dry and ulcerated looking. We are benign growths that usually go away on their own within a few months. I would recommend though having it double checked by your veterinarian. Good luck.
