Why is my dog not eating, lethargic, and struggling to poop?

Pet's info: Dog | American Eskimo Dog | Male | 6 years and 6 months old | 22 lbs

My dog just got his anal glands expressed a week ago ... Now he's not eating properly and also having difficulties in passing the stool.. he's also not so active as before... Pls tell me what has happened to him ?? And what should i do??

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I suspect that this has nothing to do with the anal gland expression. Loss of appetite and lethargy can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Sonu evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam.
