My cat is very sick, bleeding, not eating, and barely breathing. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

i think my cat is dying, he has very shallow breaths, he’s throwing up clear and foamy liquid, his nose is bleeding and there’s blood in his feces. He hasn’t eaten since yesterday and he hasn’t left the same spot, he’s been in the restroom all weekend. We can not afford vetenarian care, we don’t know what it is either. Please help

Hi. It sounds like Kitty is in a critical situation. He needs to be seen right away! It sounds like he may bw suffering. The best thing for him would be to take.him to be see right away. On this site without an exam or a patient dr relationship, we cant diagnose or prescribe here. And there isnt anything you can do from home in this severe situation from home care. Good luck

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like Kitty really needs to see a veterinarian. This sounds severe and unfortunately there is no way to help him without being able to diagnose what is going on. I recommend you have him evaluate by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
