My budgie has ruffled feathers and runny poop. Is he sick? What to do?

My budgie’s feathers are consistently ruffled and his poo is very runny, we think he might be sick. What do you think and what can we do?

Thanks for reaching out about Eclipse. By the picture, she appears hunched in posture, feathers fluffed and weak. These are common clinical signs of general illness. The runny stool is more likely more urine and lack of feces, due to not eating well. It is recommended you seek an visit with an avian veterinarian. Providing heat support in the mean time is often helpful. Good luck.

    It could be the food/new environment or Forest could be affected by a gastrointestinal infection. I would recommend a check up as antibiotics may be needed. I would wait other 48 hours to see if he will get used to the environment and food. If not improving a check up is needed.
