My dog had a long reverse sneeze and looked like she couldn't breathe.

My 8lbs yorkie just had a reverse sneeze at the dog park that lasted 4 minutes or so. I began to panic as it seemed she really couldn't breathe and finally she did a "throwing up" motion and i just heard how air seemed to get through finally. no liquid came out, she didnt throw up anything other than air if that makes sense. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 5 years and 8 months old | 8.5 lbs

However, thankfully this usually is benign and rarely becomes anything concerning. Most dogs just have reverse sneezing episodes every once in a while without causing any issues. If this ever seems to affect Diva in any way or if these episodes become too frequent, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment to make sure that this is not anything else more concerning.
