Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is not necessarily uncommon and sometimes we see this being transient. In this case, it will get better on its own. If it does not get better and becomes diarrhea entirely, then things like colitis for example would have to be considered. For this reason, I recommend that you monitor him for now. If no improvement is seen or it becomes diarrhea, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!

It sounds like it's time to bring Dolly to your vet. GI upset, obstructions, illnesses, parasites, etc are all potential causes of long-term diarrhea. If you can, bringing in a stool sample to your visit can help your vet check for the most common parasites/illnesses that could be causing it. Your vet can then provide treatment as needed such as changes in diet, probiotics, dewormers, medications, etc.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Diarrhea in a puppy is concerning as it can indicate gastrointestinal infections such as parvovirus which are serious. Other possibilities include intestinal worms or dietary indiscretion, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Cooper evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment based on findings. At the very least, he can be started on anti-diarrhea medications. Good luck!
