Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 24 days old
Hello, I have a 12 week old kitten that I took from a family member because they didn’t have a good home to send him to. I have a 10yr old resident cat who rarely comes downstairs anymore. This leads me to believe she isn’t adjusting to the new addition. I have someone that desperately wants the new kitten, who is now 12 weeks old. My question is, if this isn’t going to work out, will the kitten have issues going to another new home in just 12/13 weeks?

That will depend on the personality of the kitten. If you are worried about adjustment, you could invite the people where it is going to find a new home a few times to come and play with the kitten. That way the kitten will be familiar with them and their smell before moving into their home. It is also a good idea to give the new owners the same cat food the kitten is used to eating and some of the toys if available. Then I do not think there will be a big problem moving to a new home.
