My dog's nose is suddenly swollen. What's causing it and what to do?

My pitbull/lab’s nose is swollen suddenly & I am not sure why. Any advice on what it could be from?

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It looks like Gunther either got a bump on the nose and that is a bit of a bruise, or more likely was either bitten or stung by an insect. I would recommend monitoring it closely. If you notice the muzzle/around the eyes/jaw/lips/ears starting to swell, or if you notice hives on Gunther, then I would get him to a vet right away for a couple injections to stop the allergic reaction. Otherwise, I would just monitor the bump. If it grows at all, or has any discharge, or doesn't go away in 2 days, then I would have it looked at by a vet. Best of luck with Gunther.
