My senior dog has new purple/red lumps on his neck. Is it cancer?

Hello recently my senior dog that is 9 developed some lumps on his neck. They appeared overnight. They seem to have a purple color with some red. He does have other lumps that are soft to the touch since he was 6.would this be cancer? I know he needs an exam and I'm going to take him but I'm kinda freaking out right now. He poops and eats normal. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 years and 4 months old | 23 lbs

There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Cochino evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
