My cat has fleas. Can I use an oral pill while waiting for Frontline?

I brought Kovu home 2 days ago and I just combed him and found a couple fleas. I bathed him with dawn dish soap and got a couple more dead ones off of him. I think there are only a few adult ones. I ordered frontline and I’m waiting on that. Can I use one of the oral pills too?

Hello, I am sorry to hear about Kovu. If you have an oral flea product designed for cats you may use this product now. Please make sure that the box says that the product is safe for use in cats. Depending on which oral product you have, you may not need to then use the frontline additionally for the duration the oral product is effective. I would administer the oral product if it is safe for use in cats and consult with your veterinarian as to whether they recommend also applying the frontline. Hope this helps!
