Why did my playful dog suddenly get scared and hide? How to help?

Nuggett was wagging her tail and really playful and then all of a sudden she kinda tucked in her til and tucked ears back and went under the bed. Why and how can I prevent this behavior? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 8 years and 5 months old | 25 lbs

This sounds like something scared her. Think back to see if you can determine the cause of her anxiety. Then you’ll be able to work on changing this behavior. When training anxious dogs I usually have them on an anti anxiety supplement like Solliquin, or another brand that they sell at PetCo. That helps them relax and makes them easier to train. Always praise good behavior and give treats to build her confidence. That will help her trust you and be more relaxed in stressful situations.
