Why is my dog's snout suddenly swollen with merged spots?

Hi. My dog got sudden spots that appeared on his snout. The spots merged into one & swelled. What could this be?

Hello, I am sorry to hear about Rome. It looks like Rome has hives likely secondary to an allergic reaction. Allergic reactions can occur secondary to many things such as vaccines, medications, insects, etc. I would recommend contacting your veterinarian or an ER facility immediately to discuss Rome’s case further. They can help you determine if he needs to be evaluated tonight or if he can receive oral medications, such as Benadryl at home. Hope this helps, good luck!
