Pet's info: Cat | Russian Blue | Male | 3 months and 9 days old
My 3months old cat eats more than recommended. He finishes his wet food (one can) immediately and dry food (1/2 cup) in 6 hours. He doesn’t cry for more food but licks his empty bowl so I feed him more, which results in feeding more (3/4cup of dry food and one can wet food. All Royal Canin) than recommended. From a general exam an week ago, he was 1.58kg, body condition (1 to 5) was 3, treated with anti-parasite and a result of fecal exam was negative. Do I need to feed him as much he wants?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It seems like you are doing a great job with his feeding so I would not change the amount at all and he does not need to eat all day. Having the amounts separated like now is a good idea. Just make sure to go by the feeding guidelines on the back of the food bag or can. You are already doing a good job if Darwin’s body condition is 3 in a 1-5 scale so keep up the good work. Good luck and have a great day!
