Hi my dog was prescribed by the vet to take temaril p for her skin allergies a few days ago and yesterday she had surgery to get her benign tumors removed so they gave her amoxcillen to take. Since the vet is closed today I was just wondering if it’s okay if my dog takes both pills at the same time?

Hello, I hope Sophie is recovering from her surgery well! Yes Sophie can take both of these medications at the same time. Temaril P is an antibiotic/steroid combination medication that is used to help dogs with skin allergies. Amoxicillin is also an antibiotic but works in a different way than the one in temaril P. Antibiotics can make pets have an upset stomach, so I would recommend giving these medications with food to help minimize the chance of this side effect Hope this helps!
