I just got a new dog last night. A one year old Australian blue heeler cattle dog, this morning while playing with my other dog he started laughing up this white sticky substance. Now that we are back inside he just empty hacking. It's not very often.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your new dog. Based on the symptoms that you have described, he may have an upper respiratory tract infection. If he continues hacking and coughing, then he will need to see his veterinarian tomorrow. Keep him quiet in the meantime as increased activity can make the hacking worse. I hope this information helps!
