My BC has had a growth on his lip for about 6 weeks which decreased in size and not so red however his breath is now quite bad. Could this be coming from the growth and what could it be?

Bad breath is always a sign of bacterial infection or contamination. This growth could be an abscess and your dog could also have severe gingivitis and or bad teeth or a tooth root abscess. take your dog to a veterinarian for an exam Monday at the latest.
