My pet's eye is raw and has a thick black crust. What's happening?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 years and 9 months old

Hi I already asked a question but didn't realise I could attach pictures can someone offer advice please on what is wrong with her eye as you can tell it looks quite bad compared to the other one it has a thick black crust on it and it looks quite raw, this is a couple of days after me wiping it as i thought it was just dirt but haven't wanted to wipe it now in case it's just making it raw please can you offer an insight on what it is and what I should do?

That's a pretty strange issue. I would be first concerned about allergies or an autoimmune issue. I think she needs a vet visit to see what they think in person. My guess is that she's going to need either antibiotics or steroids (or both) as a trial to see if either settles it down.
