Why is my aggressive cat throwing up after being drugged for a bath?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Angora | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 8.8 lbs

I have a turkish angora and persian mix cat. He is very aggressive therefore he needs to be drugged in order to be bathed peacefully. This is the 3rd time we have bathed him and he's still not yet fully aware due to being drugged. He's been vomiting despite not eating anything. I am so worried he might be ill. Can you help please?

The medications Tapatipo was given to sedate him may be causing the vomiting, but since I don't know what medication he was given, I can't say for certain. Certain anesthetic drugs can cause vomiting. I am concerned that he is vomiting but yet still appears to be sedated, and my worry is that he could aspirate on his vomit. To be safe, I would take him into a vet immediately to be checked out. Best of luck.
