My beagle puppy has a swollen, red paw. What could be the cause?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 6 days old | 3.3 lbs

My little beagle puppy has something in her paw, i can see a little swelling and redness, it doesnt hurt her when i touch it (with my hands washed before) but in between her fingers i saw a some hairs sticked together and i cleaned it. What could this be? A cat got to hit her a little bit because i lost attention for a second, but she had that before this happened. I hope its nothing to worry about. Thanks for the answer beforehand!

It could be allergies, a skin infection or a very slight injury, i would recommend just monitoring it for now, if you judge that it is getting worse in the next week or so then take her to the vet to get it checked and treated.
