Why is my neutered cat grumpy and hissing at other cats?

Gus was just recently neutered and has been grumpy with our other cat. It's been about a week and a half since his operation. He's been swatting and hissing at her when she's not doing anything at all. Is it something to be worried about? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old

It can take a couple weeks to feel completely normal after a neuter, especially in adult males. If you have pain medication still, go ahead and give it as even mild pain can cause some cats to be a little crankier than usual.
