My cat has a painful bump on his paw. Should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 13 years and 5 months old | 8 lbs

My cat has something on one of his paws and is it hurting him. Do u think I should take him to the vet? It is a tiny bump and it hurts him if he puts weight on it

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Charlie. I do recommend that he sees his veterinarian if the bump is painful to him. The attached picture is blurry, but he could have a small mass growing or a cornified thickened area on his pad. After the examination, the veterinarian will let you know of treatment is required. In the meantime, do not allow him to lick the paw. I hope this information helps!
