How can I stop my newly adopted dog from chewing everything in sight?

we just adopted a 5yr old shep/boxer miix from the buffalo shelter.He will not stop chewing everything in sight help. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 5 years and 2 months old | 55 lbs

I recommend you consider hiring a qualified dog trainer to work with you in person. You can try using positive reinforcement by focusing on the positive meaning when he listens to you and stops chewing you start rewarding him with treats and praise.
