It’s generic , what is a better company in the household a male or a female cat ? Does castrations/neutring change character ?

Both male and female are loving cats and neither is better than the other as a pet. You should, however, have the cat neutered, ie a tomcat should be castrated to keep him from roaming and getting into fights. Also it will stop him from having stinky urine and spraying. A female cat should be spayed in order to keep her from having kittens twice or three times a year. The cat's character will not be changed, other than it being more settled and not roaming.
