Why is my dog anxious, twitchy, and suddenly acting unlike himself?

Meeko woke up anxious and rapid breathing. Now he is twitchy, when outside is insistent on coming back in, pulling me and ignoring my commands. Doesnt run to door when come in or lay by me. He pushes away if sit by him. No interest in toys, cuddles, or sleep. No fever. Will eat, very little drink. No bm, wont stay out long enough. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 5 months old | 21 lbs

It can create the changes you have described. His veterinarian will do an examination and determine if this seems to be the case. If so, x-rays may be taken and medication prescribed.
