Why is my cat's fur turning white? Is it vitiligo or just aging?

Hello! Cão is slowly turning white as you can see in the pictures. I googled about and it didn’t seem much to worry about, but i would like to be sure. It doesn’t seem like the getting old kind of white, since he has a bit of that on his neck, a few gray hairs on top of his head. As shown in the picture, it’s spreading all over his body, even though sometimes its more visible than others. Is there anything I should be doing? Should I worry?

You have a lovely cat. Cão looks a little bit like Clarence the cross-eyed lion, which is very cute. Cão may have a condition called vitiligo where the melanocytes in the skin disappear and the hair that grows in is white. This is just a cosmetic issue and not a disease as such. There is also a possibility that the coloring of his fur is normal like this, that he lightens up with age. This would be some sort of smoky-color. Overall it is not something to worry about, on the contrary, it makes your cat look very interesting.
