My healthy cat is losing fur in one spot. What could be the cause?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 5.2 lbs

My cat that is 1 year old has this one and only spot where she has lost her fur. I dont know if this is dangerous and what it is . She is up to date with her vaccinations,worming and flea treatments please explain what this is

This could be a skin infection caused by a fungus (ringworm), or bacteria or an old injury. Since ringworm is contagious to people and other pets in the house, I suggest you have this examined by your veterinarian to rule out a fungal infection. In the meantime do wash your hands after handling your kitty. Your vet will want to take a brush sample from the spot and culture it and until the culture has grown, will probably give you some medication to treat it.
